Still Life Movie Screening

Join us at Club Joyful for a special screening of Still Life, a heartfelt coming-of-age film by director Lauren Shapiro.

Set in the final months of 1999, the story follows 15-year-old Dafne as she navigates a tender turning point in her life—the last four months before her mother’s passing. Blending moments of dark humor, young romance, and deep reflection, Still Life captures what it feels like to live in between: between centuries, between childhood and adulthood, and between the time when someone you love is here… and when they’re not.

The film was shot entirely on location in the Bay Area with a local cast and crew—primarily women—and brought to life through the support of the community.
